03 Mar Restaurant inspired meal kits
A plan to have small venues at train stations where you could collect your meal kit on the way home was put to rest when the pandemic hit.
Prepped had to pivot quickly when the UK went into lockdown as there would be no passing traffic at Cambridge and Saffron Waldon train stations.
So they found an industrial unit and Cambridge and set up a large scale kitchen there.
With Emma, their head chef, having worked for Gordon Ramsay and Angela Hartnett, the quality of the food would never be in question. The problem was, letting people know they existed and getting them to buy.
Our strategy was to double down on the things that local takeaways couldn’t.
- The provenance of food
- The ease of cooking
- Experience in pulling ingredients and even wine choice together
- A fresh menu every week all set them apart.
We used a combination of…
- Paid social adverts
- Influencer marketing
And every week they now sell out before the end of the week!
Prepped.life now offer nationwide delivery, so if you fancy a special meal but don’t want the hassle of cooking it, go check them out.
